UBM Studios' Kristin Beaulieu to Help Demystify Hybrid Events at IAEE's Expo! Expo! 2011

Nov 22, 2011

CHICAGO, Nov. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Studios today announced that Kristin Beaulieu, SVP Sales & Development, East, will speak at Expo! Expo!, the annual meeting and exhibition of the International Association of Events and Exhibitions™ (IAEE).  Expo! Expo! 2011 will be held December 6-8, 2011 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV.   Expo! Expo! 2011 will reveal the freshest ideas and the latest technologies in face-to-face events, revealing truly unique concepts for all attendees.

At 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, Beaulieu will join a panel of experts to discuss "The WHAT and WHY of Hybrid Events."  Moderated by Emilie Barta, Hybrid Events Consultant/Virtual Emcee, the panel will examine the ways in which a virtual event, a virtual trade show and a hybrid event differ, and will describe how incorporating hybrid events into the current model works for events.  Attendees will learn how to set goals and build a business case for serving a higher percentage of members through a hybrid event.  Other panel members include Jeff Cobb, Managing Director, Tagoras, and Michael Westcott, CEO, Relate Solutions.

"The discussion of how to create successful hybrid events is increasingly important to associations and companies looking to extend revenue and content beyond a physical program.  Marketers are still struggling to find a manageable balance that suits their needs and budget for such extensions.  At UBM Studios, we are working with many organizations testing different hybrid models to find relevant concepts that stretch beyond the virtual trade show analogy, creating less work and more revenue for our customers.  I believe the market will see a flood of new offerings in the next few years providing hybrid options for all budgets and allowing any event marketer or producer to extend targeted elements of physical programs.  I look forward to this conference and getting greater understanding from our audience of their issues and concerns with hybrid events," said Beaulieu.

With more than 15 years of experience, Beaulieu has a track record of significantly growing revenue in both the virtual media and publishing markets.  Beaulieu held a variety of positions at Ziff Davis Media; most recently, she was Senior Vice President at Ziff Davis Enterprise – Event Sales. While at Ziff Davis Media, Beaulieu created and built a $6M virtual event business - eSeminars; led the company's International Licensing group; and launched PCMagCast, a virtual event business created specifically for PC Magazine's audience.  In addition, Beaulieu held several positions with InXpo where she implemented virtual event business strategy and managed key publishing and enterprise accounts including Tech Target, Red7 Media, ZDE, Bank of America and EMC.  Earlier, Beaulieu held key marketing positions with several dotcoms.
