Kristin Beaulieu of UBM Studios to Present the Benefits of Interactive Digital Environments to the Members of AFIDA, the International Association of the Exhibition Industry

Oct 18, 2011

CHICAGO, Oct. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Studios today announced that Kristin Beaulieu, SVP Sales & Development, East, will discuss the benefits of interactive digital environments to the members of AFIDA, the International Association of Exhibitions on Monday, October 24 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern.  AFIDA brings together exhibition organizers, venues and convention centers as well as exhibition associations in Latin America and Spain to provide industry education.

Beaulieu's discussion will illustrate how interactive digital environments continue to change the way associations throughout the world produce events; new and innovative ways to deliver and retain audiences; and how the plethora of new technology can enrich and enhance the visitor and exhibitor experience.

"According to Targus, the global virtual conference market will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 56 percent between 2010 and 2015 - predicting BIG growth for virtual events worldwide," said Beaulieu.  "Digital environments are a vital marketing tool for businesses to tap into audiences and create user engagement, while the maturity of the technology is driving broader adoption.  With global capabilities, UBM Studios is at the forefront in facilitating and creating the penetration and market awareness of digital solutions and has experienced and managed the tactical strategies needed to address the needs of specific demographic regions. I look forward to sharing my expertise with the AFIDA audience."

With more than 15 years of experience, Beaulieu has a track record of significantly growing revenue in both the virtual media and publishing markets.  Beaulieu held a variety of positions at Ziff Davis Media; most recently, she was Senior Vice President at Ziff Davis Enterprise – Event Sales. While at Ziff Davis Media, Beaulieu created and built a $6M virtual event business - eSeminars; led the company's International Licensing group; and launched PCMagCast, a virtual event business created specifically for PC Magazine's audience.  In addition, Beaulieu held several positions with InXpo where she implemented virtual event business strategy and managed key publishing and enterprise accounts including Tech Target, Red7 Media, ZDE, Bank of America and EMC.  Earlier, Beaulieu held key marketing positions with several dotcoms.
