UBM Studios Milicruit is also working with the Xerox Let's Say Thanks program to give event attendees and employers an opportunity to send a note to US troops stationed overseas.  ACS, A Xerox Company, is one of the employers participating at the UBM Studios Milicruit virtual career fair.

Anyone is able to thank US military personnel for their service by visiting Xerox Let's Say Thanks (www.letssaythanks.com) to choose a card and write a message.

"We are very pleased to be working closely with Xerox to enable event attendees and employers to show their appreciation to US troops stationed overseas with a note," said Kevin O'Brien, Vice President, Business Development, UBM Studios.  "UBM Studios and our parent company, United Business Media, are strong supporters of community.  We are very pleased to support troops that are sacrificing on our behalf and we hope that the notes from our attendees and sponsors will remind them how much we appreciate their service."

Xerox prints the cards on its paper and equipment and mails them in care packages to deployed troops through military support organization Give2TheTroops®, a non-profit organization formed to support the physical, moral, and spiritual health of America's armed forces in combat zones around the world through the letters and packages prepared and shipped by volunteers.

"Social responsibility is ingrained in the Xerox culture," said Kevin Warren, president, United States Solutions Group, Xerox. "For five years our Let's Say Thanks program has honored our troops and sent support from home. The attendees at the Veteran's Day Virtual Career Fair are aware of the sacrifices our men and women make by serving our country."

Milicruit's Veterans Day Virtual Career Fair brings the career fair to more than 50 industry leading employers and government agencies as well as veterans, military personnel and spouses.  The virtual career fair will allow veterans to visit employer booths, view and apply for jobs, upload resumes, chat with recruiters, network with peers and video interview, all from the comfort and convenience of home.  Because the career fair is virtual it is cost effective, time efficient and environmentally friendly.  The virtual fair is especially convenient for veterans with disabilities since there is no travel involved.

Veterans interested in attending the virtual career fair can sign up before November 4, 2010 at www.veteranscareerfair.com.

About UBM Studios Milicruit

UBM Studios Milicruit.com is a job fair for veterans/military personnel to come together in an interactive 3D virtual setting.  Each year 350,000 veterans leave active duty and many of them enter the civilian job market, Milicruit.com aids them in their search by providing a virtual career fair that brings veterans and employers together.  Veterans have the opportunity to register for virtual career fairs by building a profile and employers are able to fully interact with the individuals.  The career fairs offer virtual booths; job postings; company videos; company presentations; live chat with company representatives; video interviewing; and resume and interview assistance.  The traditional recruiting environment of veterans is costly, time-consuming and often times ineffective. Given the large number of veterans currently looking to reenter civilian life and the large number of employers seeking to hire veterans, milicruit.com allows both parties to meet and interact in an online setting.  For additional information on Milicruit, visit www.milicruit.com.
