Targeted to IT professionals, the virtual event provided the newest exploits and vulnerabilities on the Web, as well as current threats that might not be on a security professional's radar screen yet. It also provided advice on what to do to prepare a security environment to defend against next-generation threats and how to respond to a threat.

The event combined the in-depth expertise of InformationWeek and Dark Reading – with insights from some of the industry's most respected security researchers and experts.  Attendees learned:

  • Which new threats pose the greatest dangers to your organization – and which are just hype
  • What the latest attacks look like, and how they might affect an enterprise
  • How to begin to build up your defenses against the latest wave of cyberattacks, and prioritize security efforts to meet the most severe risks first
  • How the security threat landscape has changed
  • What to do to mitigate the latest web browser security threats
  • Which vulnerabilities to watch out for in smart phones and notebook computers

The event offered an Auditorium that delivered thought-leadership and vendor presentations focused on cyberattacks and security; an Exhibit Hall with booths from platinum sponsors ArcSight, BlueCoat, Symantec, IBM, thawte and Webroot, gold sponsors Core Security and Fiberlink, and silver sponsors Lumension Security, Inc. and Websense, Inc.; a Networking Lounge; and event attendees were able to chat with peers one-on-one or in group chats.  All presentations were immediately available on demand.

The virtual event drew 2,630 IT professional registrants and 1,332 live attendees.
