The five hour event offered an intensive online examination of ways the enterprise can tie its mobile workers more closely to the enterprise's core communications systems, while also enabling UC applications and functions on mobile users' devices.  The event featured webinar-style sessions that provided attendees with in-depth technical and market information to help understand the issues and take immediate action to control costs, implement policies and management systems, and deploy cutting-edge mobile applications.  Attendees also had the opportunity to gather material from and interact with technology providers in the mobile space. In addition, attendees were able to network online with colleagues who attended the event.

Topics discussed included:

  • Bringing mobile users into the core enterprise communications platform
  • Mobilizing Unified Communications applications
  • Device selection, standardization and configuration
  • Security and compliance systems and policies
  • Managing the mobile workforce
  • Controlling cellular/mobility costs
  • Mobile infrastructure: Cellular, Wi-Fi, or both?

The event combined content and audience development from UBM's Enterprise Connect and the user interface from UBM Studios, the virtual arm of UBM.

More than 1,200 enterprise IT and communications professionals registered for the virtual event and is now available on demand at http://enterpriseconnect.com/virtualevents.
