CHICAGO, June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The MBAwired APAC virtual event is the first truly international event for future MBA students from Asia to meet global business schools.  Staged live on June 3rd 2010, the virtual environment offered candidates and admission officers an unprecedented opportunity to engage in communications independent of their location and time zone.   Participating schools included: Cambridge Judge School of Business, Singapore Management University, Hong Kong University, IE Business School, Thunderbird School of Global Management, European Business School, Williamette University, The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business, Audencia Nantes' School of Management, Ashridge, MIP Politecnico di Milano School of Management, EMLyon Business School, SKKU GBS in Collaboration with MIT Sloan, Nanyang Technological University, Copenhagen Business School, SDA Bocconi, EDHEC Business School, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Crummer Graduate School and Nottingham University Business School China.  The Wall Street Journal was the official newspaper of the event and Manhattan Review was the content provider of the event.

In addition to meeting with representatives from the participating MBA programs, individuals who registered for the virtual fair attended live webinars focused on admissions strategy, including "Finding the Best Business School for Your " and "GMAT Strategy."  Attendees were also able to chat with other prospective students in order to network, solicit advice and offer tips.

Surveys show that over 90 percent of all future MBA students start their search for suitable MBA programs and schools online. The MBA Wired APAC virtual event provided future MBA students with a forum to compare programs, talk to admission officers, alumni and students, attend webinars, view school presentations and download information on programs and download white papers and MBA reports.

For example, an MBA prospect was able to log in from Beijing and interact directly with a number of schools without extensive travel, while universities were able to interact with future students, staff their booth with most suitable representatives such as admission officer, students, alumni, offer materials, stage presentations and stream videos.

The virtual event drew prospective MBA attendees from across Asia, spending an average time of 100 minutes in the virtual environment attending presentations and visiting exhibitors' booths.
