May 17, 2010

SAN FRANCISCO, May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM TechWeb today announced the four finalists selected to participate in this year's Launch Pad program at the Enterprise 2.0 Conference in Boston.  The Launch Pad program provides a unique public forum for unveiling new social tools within the enterprise and will take place during the Enterprise 2.0 Conference in Boston on Wednesday, June 16th at the Westin Boston Waterfront.  The Enterprise 2.0 Conference is the first and largest worldwide conference and demonstration pavilion dedicated to exploring how Web 2.0 and social technology is dramatically changing the enterprise to make businesses more agile, efficient and adaptable in today's market. Participants this year posted their submissions first in Twitter format. Top submissions were invited by the Jury to upload a short video submission to the Launch Pad site to compete for the title and chance to present to the Enterprise 2.0 community at the event.  Each Launch Pad finalist will have five minutes on stage to present their new 2.0 tools and services to the event's audience of creators, evangelists and adopters of cutting edge technologies.  Following the finalists presentation, the audience will select a "People's Choice" winner.

The four finalists are:

  • Baydin: helps customers manage their inboxes, discover information they need to know about, and clear mental clutter out of their way. Baydin allows customers to focus on what's meaningful, while they take care of the rest.
  • Doodle: a free online coordination tool which requires neither registration nor software installation.  Doodle is a leading online scheduling tool that takes the pain out of finding the right date and time for a group of people to meet and makes scheduling virtually effortless.
  • InnovationCast: a software designed to amplify innovation engagement, supporting and facilitating the management of your company's innovation process from beginning to end.
  • MindQuilt: knowledge sharing for the enterprise with capabilities to add a fun Game Mechanic for employees or capture knowledge to start a knowledge base. It's easier to use than wikis, forums or group chats.

"We are pleased by the industry enthusiasm of all companies that participated in this year's Launch Pad," said Steve Wylie, General Manager, Enterprise 2.0 Conference.  "We look forward to hearing more from the selected four finalists as they take the stage to present their unique technologies and applicable solutions to the Enterprise 2.0 audience.  We congratulate each finalist for their continued innovation in the industry."
