Additional web enhancements made to better integrate vast digital assets

SAN FRANCISCO, May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- TechInsights' digital portfolio leader EE Times announced today the creation of a new industry sources network comprised of a group of prominent industry bloggers chosen by EE Times' award-winning editorial team that will contribute regularly to the growing community conversation on eetimes.com. As well, the site has unveiled additional subtle but important changes to its homepage that highlight some of the investments the company is making in building and integrating its digital portfolio.

"EE Times has always defined what the industry discussion should be. With the launch of our Trusted Sources Network we are creating a dialogue and inviting others to help shape the conversation," said Junko Yoshida, editor-in-chief of EE Times.com. "The Web is expanding our world every day and we want to be sure the EE Times community is getting input from around the industry, infusing our content with fresh thinking," said Yoshida. EE Times.com boasts unique users of well more than 640,000 per month and monthly page views of over 3.2 million.

In addition to the Trusted Sources Network, the redesign accelerates the connections among TechOnline.com, Embedded.com and EE Times. Earlier this month, EE Times debuted branding for the EE Times Network via links along the navigation bar at the top of each site, raising awareness of the linkages among the sites and better enabling engagement for the millions of users across the network. As well, the homepage design now provides a greater spotlight for some of the newer content formats that are building a huge following across the network. These include the bustling white paper library, which now hosts over 6,000 papers. They can now be found much more easily on the top right corner of the EE Times home page. In addition to white papers, Fundamentals courses--brief interactive tutorials on the industry's most important topics--are now more visible along the left column of the homepage. The launch of Fundamentals late last year has led to a surge in traffic across the EE Times network sites, particularly TechOnline.com, where the courses are housed.

Finally, the homepage features greater integration and linkages of the networks abundant online resources. Specific articles are better integrated with related multimedia content like webinars and video, as well as white papers. Site visitors will find appropriate links to these content formats directly under the headlines of some of the top stories on the homepage, making it easier to view the full breadth of related assets in one place.

TechInsights is quickly making quantum leaps forward with investing in and improving on their digital assets. Last month the organization announced the appointment of Brent Pearson as the company's new director of media technology. One of Pearson's first orders of business is the development of TechInsights' internal Web team. "The end result of the establishment of our Trusted Sources Network and the important changes to EE Times.com is access to relevant industry content -- right at our readers' fingertips," said Paul Miller, CEO of TechInsights. "These subtle changes are the beginning of what we consider our continuous transformation on the Web. TechInsights is investing considerable time, resource and money in the development of its media business and the holistic integration of our vast digital assets enforces us as the lead media brand," noted Miller. "Despite the current economy, we think it's an extremely exciting time for those companies in media that truly embrace what the Web can do."
