BRUSSELS, Belgium, May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, TechInsights announced the formal launch of three DesignLines to directly support European designers working in the power management, industrial control and automotive application spaces. DesignLines, part of the TechOnline™ family of products, provide online support environments for engineers and engineering managers with detailed technical information to improve their designs and develop their expertise in specific application or technology areas. Each of the DesignLines sites delivers how-to design articles, new product information, blogs, forums, technical papers, and new content on a variety of engineering topics relevant to the application of the technology space it covers.

Moderated by an editor who is a recognized 'domain expert' in their field, each is responsible for ensuring that the latest and most useful content finds its way to the screen immediately. DesignLines have proven to be an excellent source of current, objective information for the Creators of Technology. Monthly traffic to the combined U.S. sites is well over one million page views per month and growing. It is expected that traffic to the new European sites will ramp up quickly.

Editors have been named for each of the three new sites. Industrial DesignLine Europe will be managed by Dipl-Ing Wolfgang Patelay. Pately has a wealth of experience in test & measurement, ASICs, programmable logic and power supplies with 25 years experience in the electronics market as a writer, editor and editor-in-chief at some of the most recognized publications in the German market, including Elektronik, Elektronik Industrie and Elektronik Embedded Systeme.

Vanessa Knivett will manage Analog DesignLine Europe. Knivett comes to Analog DesignLine Europe with ten years of experience in technology journalism. She spent the last six years with a UK electronics design magazine. Prior to that, Knivett wrote for titles in the analytical instrumentation sector, including those covering the then-emerging field of genomics and proteomics analysis.

Paul Buckley, editor of Power Management DesignLine Europe, began his career in journalism with Morgan-Grampian where he was the Special Reports Editor for Electronics Times based in London. Buckley has also served as deputy editor of Computer Systems magazine and editor of Electronics Manufacture and Test. He has been writing for many years on a wide range of technology subjects including electronics, computing, communications, software and power technology.
