SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- CMP's Semiconductor Insights (SI), the leader in technical and patent analyses of integrated circuits and electronic systems, today announced that Harry Page has been named President. Page will lead the company's accomplished management team and will report to Paul Miller, President, CMP Electronics Group.

"We are extremely pleased to have Harry at the helm," said Paul Miller, President CMP Electronics Group. "Having previously worked for Symagery Microsystems, an SI sister company, Harry brings a thorough understanding of SI's clients, market, value proposition and culture. This will be an invaluable asset to drive the tremendous synergies between our respective organizations."

In July 2007, SI was acquired by CMP to strengthen its Electronics portfolio of services by providing customers the ability to identify, optimize and protect their technology assets through access to patent analyses and a vast library of detailed technical analyses of Integrated Circuits and electronic systems and technical market research.

In his most recent role as Vice President of Network Services for Meriton Networks Inc., Page was responsible to meet the mission-critical needs of network service providers and the networking operations of large enterprise customers. Previously, Page held positions of increasing responsibility at Symagery Microsystems (now part of Psion Teklogix), Newbridge Networks, Mitel, and Bell Northern Research. Page was educated at the Algonquin College School of Business and the University of Manitoba. Page also holds several patents in the area of mobile computing image capture and processing.

"I had a close personal and professional relationship with SI's late President and CEO, Dr. Doug Smeaton, that extended over three decades," stated Page. "Doug was a mentor to me and I am honored to have the opportunity to lead SI and to build upon his legacy with CMP."
