MANHASSET, N.Y., June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- CMP Technology today announced the launch of RFID World Boston, a new conference and tradeshow that will bring together industry leaders, end-users and technologists who are using, building, leveraging, and driving radio frequency identification (RFID) technology (http://www.rfid-world.com/boston). Scheduled for September 19-20, 2007, at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA, the event will have three major components: an educational conference, including both traditional seminar formats and elements of peer-to-peer learning; a tradeshow featuring the sellers of RFID tools, technologies, services, and infrastructure; as well as networking events designed to bring the global RFID community together. The conference program will focus on the issues of security, privacy and authentication of RFID and advanced track and trace technologies.

Robert C. Cresanti, Under Secretary of Commerce for Technology and Chief Privacy Officer of The Department of Commerce will kick-off the conference with a keynote on Wednesday September 19. Other confirmed speakers to date include Jim Harper, Director of Information Policy Studies at The Cato Institute; Elliot Maxwell, Fellow, Communications Program, Johns Hopkins University; Lauren Scott, Founder and CEO, Lauren Scott California; In K. The event will be co-located with the Embedded Systems Conference, the industry's largest international embedded technical conference and exhibition. The combined events billed at TechMash Boston 2007 are expected to host a grand total of more than 200 exhibiting companies and over 5,000 attendees.
