This year's VARBusiness 500 has a combined value of nearly $349 billion. One hundred thirteen new companies will join the list due to a change in the methodology of the list. The VARBusiness editorial team removed the vendor services arms from the list, opening nearly 40 slots for new companies. The threshold for inclusion on the list rose to nearly $25 million, up from the 2006 threshold of $21 million. This year's list also brings more billion- dollar companies than in year's past.

  -- $50 million to $99.9 million: 25%
  -- $100 million to $499.9 million: 28%
  -- $500 million to $999.9 million: 6.2%

  -- $5 billion to $9.9 billion: 2%
  -- Greater than $10 billion: 1.5%
