CMP Media Promotes Richard O'Hare to Associate Publisher, HomePC Magazine

Richard O'Hare, National Sales Manager for CMP Media Inc.'s HomePC magazine, has been promoted to Associate Publisher of the monthly magazine targeting the home computing market. The announcement was made at the company's annual sales meeting, held this month.

In his new position, O'Hare will continue overseeing advertising sales for HomePC, and additionally, will be responsible for the marketing, circulation, research and editorial direction of the publication.

"Richard has been an aggressive force driving the HomePC sales team for the past eight months," HomePC Publishing Director Dan Schwartz said. "We're confident that in his new position, he will put forth that same level of commitment to boost circulation and propel sales."

O'Hare was appointed National Sales Manager for HomePC in June 1996. Prior to that, he was Eastern Regional Manager for Windows Magazine. O'Hare began his career at CMP in 1990 in the company's OEM Group where he came on board as District Sales Manager for EE Times and later became Advertising Director for OEM Magazine. He expanded his knowledge of the enterprise market as District Manager for Interactive Age before moving over to Windows Magazine in 1995.

O'Hare will continue reporting to Schwartz. A new National Sales Manager will not be named in the immediate future.
