EE Product News, the leading product tabloid for the electronics industry, published by Penton Media, Inc. (NYSE: PME), has signed on with the EDTN Network. In its role as Network Partner, EE Product News will be the premier source of EOEM product information for EDTN Network (Electronics Design, Technology & News), the Internet resource maintained by CMP Media.

"CMP's decision to add EE Product News for its online content about EOEM products and services once again makes clear the enormous respect we command across the entire electronics industry," said EE Product News Publisher Matt Reseska. "EDTN Network wants to be the most comprehensive information source for the worldwide electronics engineering community. EE Product News' contribution helps make that goal a reality."

Reseska commented that the collaborative venture between Penton and CMP shows how significantly the Internet is changing the way information is delivered to design engineers and engineering managers around the world. He also noted that EE Product News was an early advocate of the Internet. It was one of the first EOEM publications to print vendor Web addresses as part of its product reviews.

In addition, Reseska said that EE Product News has just launched its Product Locator. This interactive utility is a fully searchable database that contains a rolling year's worth of EE Product News product write-ups. It can be accessed from the publication's Web site at http://www.eepn.com/.

With the addition of EE Product News, the EDTN Network now has 12 Network Partners. It will continue evaluating and adding industry-leading Web sites over the next few months.

"EE Product News will continue to sell advertising banners on its Product Locator pages as well as throughout its site," said National Sales Manager Tom Cooney. "And we're sure that the EDTN affiliation will help drive even more traffic to our site."

EE Product News is the leading product publication for the EOEM industry and the only such title to focus exclusively on engineers and engineering managers involved in prototyping, the critical design stage when concepts take shape and buying decisions are made. It is published by Penton Media, Inc. (NYSE: PME), a leading diversified business media company that publishes magazines and electronic information products, produces trade shows and conferences, and provides marketing and business development products and services, including direct mail lists, research and custom publishing.

The EDTN Network is the largest global resource for electronics design, procurement, and business professionals. It delivers a suite of information, design and decision support tools, and reference materials.
