CMP Media's EE Times and eeProductCenter announce for the second consecutive quarter, electronics engineers have responded enthusiastically to the Ultimate Products program by rating and commenting on the most significant semiconductor, passive component and test equipment product introductions of the three months ending June 2004.

Results of more than 15,000 votes from 1,328 voters will be reported in the "Ultimate Products 1.2" supplement to EE Times on September 28 and online at http://www.eetimes.com/ultimate

"We think of the Ultimate Products program as the Zagat's guides of the electronics industry," said Paul Miller, Vice President/Group Publisher, CMP Media's Electronics Group. "We know that engineers value peer input extremely highly when they're selecting products for systems design, but peer input is hard to come by since the industry introduces thousands of new products each quarter. By soliciting input from thousands of engineers, we're providing the first large-scale forum for such peer reviews."

Ultimate Products is a joint program of EE Times and eeProductCenter. Each quarter, under the direction of senior editors Stephan Ohr and Marty Gold, editors select newly introduced products in seven major technology categories. Links to their reviews are then submitted by electronic ballot to thousands of highly qualified engineering readers of CMP's Electronics Group publications. Readers then rank these products for "technical significance" and "likelihood of use."
