CMP Media's Network Computing is pleased to announce it's seventh consecutive Real-World LabsĀ® LIVE Demonstration to take place at Comnet Conference & Expo 2001, January 29- February 1st in Washington, D.C.

Scheduled hourly, each day of the show, Network Computing editors will lead discussions on current issues, hold demonstrations, and test several technologies at the Real-World Labs Live booth located in the lobby of the convention center. As a natural evolution of this highly successful event, the topic of Virtual Private Networking has been added to the line-up of products and services to be highlighted at the demo.

"For Comnet attendees, this event will be of great benefit, walking them through the primary issues that must be considered in all purchase decisions," said Fritz Nelson, Publisher of Network Computing. "For sponsors of our demo, the event offers a unique opportunity to meet with, present to, and build relationships with an educated, target audience."

Based on the results of lab tests and workshops conducted over the past year, attendees will find out what services are available right now, and in the near future, as well as key questions to ask product vendors. They will also learn the latest in:

  *  High availability
  *  Fault tolerance/failover
  *  Load balancing
  *  Performance management
  *  Quality of service
  *  Voice and Video concerns

In addition to the editorial content, Network Computing's sponsoring vendors, Agilent Technologies, CoreExpress and Shomiti Systems Inc., will showcase their products and distribute literature to attendees following each demonstration.
