CMP Media's Transform Magazine is proud to announce its Product of the Year Winners for 2003. Ten winners in nine categories were chosen from among 24 Product of the Year Finalists who were announced in November. Coverage of all 24 products appears in the January 2004 issue of the publication.

The Transform Product of the Year Finalists and Winners were selected for innovations and advances in technology, outstanding value and proven market success. The Transform editors examined the latest in content and collaboration technologies throughout the year, and their year-end selection process benefited from intense market research, customer interviews and, in some cases, lab experience with these products.

Complex, enterprise-wide solutions are difficult to test in the lab, so the Transform editors sought additional input from distinguished industry experts. This year's roster of analysts and consultants included:

   Eric Austvold, AMR Research
   Matthew Berk, Jupiter Research
   Geoffrey Bock, Patricia Seybold Group
   Bill Chambers, Doculabs
   Joshua Duhl, IDC
   Susan Feldman, IDC
   Julie Gable, Gable Consulting
   Sharyn Leaver, Forrester Research
   Rich Medina, Doculabs
   Susan Moyse, InfoTrends Research Group
   Jim Murphy, AMR Research
   Alan Pelz-Sharpe, Ovum
   Nate Root, Forrester Research
   Karen Shegda, Gartner
   Harvey Spencer, Harvey Spencer Associates
   Bill Trippe, New Millennium Publishing
   Pat Turocy, Doculabs
   Nick Wilkoff, Forrester Research

After considering perspectives from these experts as well as many end users, the editors of Transform made the final selection of award recipients. "With only 24 Finalists from among the many content and collaboration technologies we cover, the Product of the Year 2003 Winners are true standouts chosen from among an already select group of deserving products," said Doug Henschen, Editor-in-Chief of Transform. "We congratulate all the Transform Product of the Year Winners and Finalists on their achievements in 2003."
