CMP's Network Computing, a twice-monthly solutions magazine serving network/IS professionals, announced the nominees of its Third Annual Well-Connected Awards, honoring the best technology pro networked enterprise.

Nominees for this year's prestigious awards include Microsoft's Internet Explorer 3.01, Novell's IntranetWare, Motorola's Vanguard 300 and HP's Internet Advisor. The 150 nominees cover 50 categories, including Internet Access Application, Network Operating System, Wireless Solution and Firewall.

"It's no surprise that this year's Well-Connected Award nominees reflect the twists and turns that have marked the industry," said Patricia Schnaidt, Editorial Director/Associate Publisher. "The increased focus of Internet and intranet related products echo the importance of these solutions within the enterprise."

Now in its third year, the Well-Connected Awards are chosen by a team of Network Computing editors who have put the products through the rigors of lab- based testing. These experts, who have years of experience with information systems and networking solutions, test products in Network Computing's Real World Labs ™ where they can compare features and functionality across an enterprise-wide environment.

Winners of Network Computing's Third Annual Well-Connected Awards will be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday, May 6, during the NetWorld+Interop trade show in Las Vegas. For a complete list of nominees, please contact Phoebe Yee at (516) 562-5772 or pyee@cmp.com.
