PC EXPO (http://www.pcexpo.com/) announces its partnership with the Supportive Housing Network of New York (http://www.shnny.org/) as a way of giving back to the city that hosts the annual PC EXPO. PC EXPO is promoting the proven cost-effective solution to homelessness-supportive housing-to invest in the city that draws exhibitors and vendors worldwide. Just as PC EXPO provides the forum for the latest in technological innovation, supportive housing is considered the most innovative solution to homelessness.

The 18th annual PC EXPO will be held June 27-29, 2000 (conference program begins on June 26) at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

"PC EXPO is on the cutting-edge of technology, said Maureen Friar, executive director, Supportive Housing Network of New York." Through this exciting partnership the Network can reach thousands of corporate professionals who have the resources and knowledge to invest in the innovative solutions for individuals with special needs in NYC."

Supportive housing provides the winning combination of permanent affordable housing linked with on-site support services (such as counseling and job training) to enable formerly homeless individuals and families to rebuild their lives. Many people living in supportive housing grapple with mental or physical disabilities, are victims of domestic violence, have HIV/AIDS or a history of substance abuse. The Supportive Housing Network of New York assists 159 not-for-profit agencies that develop and manage over 17,000 units of supportive housing. The Network provides public education, training and advocacy to build the agencies' capacity to provide the best housing possible and to develop new projects.

PC EXPO encourages all vendors, buyers and other interested parties to donate to the Network. Stop by the Network's booth number 4915 at PC EXPO or send donations to: Supportive Housing Network of New York, 475 Riverside Drive, Suite 250, New York, NY 10115. A contribution to the Network is an investment in New York, the community and to some of our most vulnerable neighbors. PC EXPO is proud to sponsor such a worthwhile organization.

More than 85,000 qualified corporate technology buyers from around the world will descend on the Javits Center to see more than 500 IT companies display the latest corporate computing products and services. A dynamic conference program will feature scores of conference tracks and seminars that will educate attendees on the latest IT trends and applications. PC EXPO will also feature special events such as keynote presentations, Live RFP's and shoot-outs between competing IT vendors.
