CMP Media Inc.'s Enterprise Internet Network has launched CMP's Guide to NetWorld+Interop, an extensive online companion to the May 6-8, Las Vegas networking industry trade show. The site--which features an overview of the latest network products that IT buyers will want to evaluate in the months to come, plus show news, a guide to the glitter city that is Las Vegas, and more -- can be accessed at http://techweb.cmp.com/n+i.

"For the third straight year, CMP's Guide to NetWorld+Interop provides IT buyers with a snapshot of what's hot and what's not in networking technology," said Suzanne Zellner, Associate Publisher. "What's more, you don't have to be planning to attend the show to find the site valuable -- all that is needed is a craving for up-to-the-minute news, analysis and network product information."

The site, sponsored by 3Com Corp., features content created by five CMP publications -- InformationWeek, CommunicationsWeek, Network Computing, VARBusiness and Computer Reseller News -- that offer networking professionals a thorough show resource.

* Hot Technologies-Sizzlers and Fizzlers:

A dedicated area of the site that helps users learn more about the newest networking technologies. And just to keep it interesting, the site's editors have flagged some of the "not so hot technologies" -- the dead ends of network technology.

* Late-Breaking Show News:

Before, during and after NetWorld+Interop, CMP's Guide to NetWorld+Interop will deliver the latest news, press releases and product information.

* Networking Calendar:

A list of all the networking events, seminars and receptions planned for NetWorld+Interop week are assembled in one place for easier access.

* Tech Guides:

Tech Guides provide network managers with broad technology tutorials on a dozen technologies including network management, Internet/intranet applications, and groupware and messaging

* Las Vegas City Guide:

A virtual concierge available twenty-four hours a day guides visitors to the best restaurants, shows and attractions on and off the strip.
