CMP Media's VARBusiness Magazine Lauds Top Technology Integrator Companies and Executives

Presents First VARBusiness 500 Company of the Year Award to CIBER, Inc.

CMP Media's VARBusiness magazine lauded the top executives and companies among North America's technology integrators at its fifth annual VARBusiness 500 Awards event, held June 14 at the Rainbow Room in New York City. Seventeen individual awards were presented and the top 500 solutions providers were acclaimed.

CIBER, Inc., was named the debut VARBusiness 500 Company of the Year for demonstrating technical excellence, business savvy and market innovation. The Greenwood Village, Colo.-based firm is a leading international system- integration consultancy, catering to private- and government-sector clients.

In recognizing CIBER, VARBusiness Publisher Robert C. Demarzo told the more than 600 attendees that the winner "has demonstrated market leadership in several ways, like pioneering a new take on low-cost outsourcing. It has opened low-cost development centers here in the U.S. that saves its customers money and gives jobs to communities in the throes of transitioning from old economies to the new ones."

John Danieli, founder, president and CEO of The Computer Merchant in Norwell, Mass., received the Lifetime Achievement Award, for his long-term commitment to the industry through the creation of a preferred service provider to the world's leading IT integration firms, corporations and institutions.

Executive of the Year honors went to Michael Cox, president and CEO of Logicalis, in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., for helping transform one of the industry's largest HP partners into a more complete, well-rounded, diversified powerhouse.
