CMP's Computer Reseller News Leads All Computer Publications in Ad Pages for 1996

CMP Media's Computer Reseller News delivered more ad pages in 1996 than any other trade or consumer high-tech publication tracked in the United States by the Computer Publishing and Advertising Report (CPAR). According to CPAR's year-end report, Computer Reseller News tallied 8,324 total ad pages in 1996, an 8.4 percent increase over its performance in 1995.

Among other leading publications tracked by CPAR, Computer Reseller News bested Ziff Davis' Computer Shopper by nearly 100 pages, PCWeek by 300 pages, and PC Magazine by 2000 pages. IDG's lead publication, ComputerWorld, trailed Computer Reseller News by 4,000 pages.

Computer Reseller News Publisher Kevin Mannion points to the growth of the channel and an increased need by resellers to stay on top of the rapidly changing market as factors contributing to the newspaper's rise in ad pages in '96.
