Applied Neurology Appoints Sales Managers
CMP Healthcare Media adds industry veterans
CMP Healthcare Media today announced the addition of Amy Birnbach, national sales manager, and Stephen Gephart, regional sales manager, to the staff of its newest publication, Applied Neurology.
"The staff will provide pharmaceutical manufacturers and associated medical companies the opportunity to communicate their message to the appropriate audience," said Marcy Holeton, group publisher of CMP Healthcare Media's Newsmagazine Group. "We are very excited to have such a talented group of individuals working to uphold our superior standards."
Applied Neurology will release its inaugural issue in January 2005. The publication will provide a unique offering of scientific and clinical information presented in the context of day-to-day practice.
In her new position, Birnbach is responsible for managing, expanding and facilitating growth of client relationships and revenue. Most recently, she served as vice president of Pharmaceutical Media, Inc., where she was responsible for the management of Hospital Pharmacy, Journal of the National Medical Association and Obstetrics & Gynecology. Prior to that, Birnbach worked as an advertisement sales representative for Cliggott Publishing, which was acquired by CMP Healthcare Media in November 2003. She began her career as a media planner and buyer.
Gephart brings several years of medical sales and management experience to CMP Healthcare Media and Applied Neurology. He will be responsible for the continuation and growth of regional client relationships. Most recently, he served as national accounts manager for Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, a title that he also held at Multimedia HealthCare/Freedom, Inc.
