pulver.com, CMP Media LLC and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) today announced IP-4-IT™, a new jointly produced tradeshow that addresses the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Enterprise IT decision makers in their deployment of IP-enabled networks, applications and solutions. IP-4-IT, scheduled to take place November 14-16 in Las Vegas at the Rio Hotel and Convention Center, is expected to attract an international audience of over 3,000 attendees, as well as 125+ exhibitors of IP-related products and services.

IP4IT: Advanced Applications and Architecture for the Enterprise will cover the spectrum, from the business case for IP communications technology to hands-on sessions on technology planning and deployment. The conference will focus on emerging areas of IP technology applications, such as Voice over IP Security, Remote Office Voice and Data, Unified Messaging, Collaborative Applications, IP PBXs and IP Contact Centers.

"We are pleased to join together with CMP Media and TIA to put on this new event," stated VoIP pioneer Jeff Pulver, the founder of the industry standard Voice on the Net (VON) events, known throughout the Communications industries as the 'voice' of IP Communications. "The IP-4-IT tradeshow will be unique in its mission, which is to expand the reach of IP Communications into the Enterprise. IP is not just voice, but a new infrastructure that offers truly converged communication and streamlined business processes."

"Enterprise IT decision makers are looking for ways to drive competitive advantage using information technology," said Fritz Nelson, VP and group publisher for CMP Media's Network Computing Enterprise Architecture Group. "Today IP is a given as the communications protocol, so the next opportunity exists around the applications that leverage IP. That's where all the exciting innovation is happening. We're thrilled to be part of the launch of an industry event, along with our pioneering partners, that is squarely aimed at helping IT executives blaze a new competitive trail."

TIA President Matthew J. Flanigan stated, "We believe the time is right for IP-4-IT and with CMP Media and pulver.com, we've got the right team to produce a world-class event. After three years of small increases in enterprise equipment sales, we're now seeing an uptick, driven by upgrades to IP systems. Such a technology shift presents opportunities and challenges, and IP-4-IT will be key to understanding both."
