Cheri Parr Named Western Regional Director for CMP Media's Informationweek And Optimize

Business Technology Veteran to Lead Sales Organization for Leading Business Technology Media Brands

InformationWeek, the leading IT media brand, today announced that Cheri Parr has been named Western Regional Director of CMP Media's InformationWeek and Optimize publications. She will be responsible for leading, planning and directing all aspects of the InformationWeek and Optimize sales strategies, objectives and organization, as well as continuing to build out the brands' products and services. Cheri was most recently a Vice President at CXO Media.

Cheri reports to Scott Vaughan, the veteran publisher who, at the helm of Optimize magazine, continues to build the brand's burgeoning product portfolio. Prior to joining CMP, Cheri was Vice President of CIO, where she was responsible for sales management on the West Coast for the semimonthly magazine. Cheri has held a variety of positions in the IT publishing industry including Publisher of Home Office Computing (Freedom Technology Media Group) and sales management positions at such publications such as Small Business Computing, Mobile Computing/Portable Computing, NewMedia and MacUser/MacWeek. Cheri is also a member of the National Association of Female Executives as well as WITI (Women in Technology International). She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Santa Clara University/Hayward State University in California.
