CMP Media, a leading integrated media company, and WITI (Women In Technology International), a global association dedicated to advancing women through technology, today announced a media partnership, which will launch with CMP publishing WITI's quarterly FastTrack Magazine supplement for women in technology. CMP and WITI intend to explore other publishing opportunities targeted at women.

The FastTrack supplement will initially be distributed to 90,000 women in technology who read InformationWeek, Optimize and Network Computing, plus attendees at the WITI Conferences, Networld+Interop and Comdex, the computer industry's largest tradeshows.

CMP has licensed the right to publish the quarterly WITI FastTrack Magazine for three years. FastTrack, which focuses on helping women succeed in the high-tech marketplace, is supported by major advertisers, such as Microsoft and Sprint.

"Women technology professionals are a vast, underserved audience. Publishing FastTrack is an excellent way to reach them and we will be working with WITI to continually enhance the content and marketing scope of the supplement providing cutting-edge and best practices information to these executives," said Joseph Braue, VP/Director CMP's Corporate Custom Media Solutions Group. "But even more importantly, we look forward to exploring additional opportunities such as co-marketing, new product development and research targeted to the unique needs of professional women in technology."

"I have always admired CMP Media, whose corporate culture is known for producing quality publications and advancing women employees. Based on its unique core values and its belief in WITI's vision, we are partnering with CMP to build Fast Track into a first class publication," said Carolyn Leighton, Chairwoman and Founder of WITI. "When WITI was founded in 1989, we estimated that there were about 4 million women who worked for high technology companies. In the past few years, we have seen this market explode with the increased number of women who now consider technology central to their businesses, careers and professions."
