CMP Media's TechWeb Network today announced the launch of MessagingPipeline.com, the latest addition in the Pipeline series of topically focused websites. This new website is devoted to providing business technology professionals with the messaging news and information they need to be successful.

"While e-mail and other messaging systems are nearly always covered in every computer publication and website around, there is no single publication or site that focuses entirely on messaging," said Mike Azzara, vice president, group director of Internet business, CMP. "This information source will provide its visitors with relevant news and information about messaging products, processes, policies, and technologies."

Messaging Pipeline's editorial will cover the full range of software, hardware and peripherals, network and server technologies, and business and policy solutions. Editorial will include news, trends, and how-to articles.

The editorial for Messaging Pipeline is led by John Dickinson. With both magazine and Internet experience, including positions as senior vice president of Internet Products at eMachines, vice president and editorial director for print and online publications at both Ziff-Davis and Curtco Freedom Group, and editor in chief, editor, executive editor, and senior editor at several magazines. Mr. Dickinson has launched and re-launched magazines and web sites, including Computer Shopper, PC/Computing, Computer Life, Knowledge Management, ZD Internet magazine, Home Office Computing, Small Business Computing, CRM magazine, ZDTV, and ZDNet. He was also the founding director of PC Magazine Labs. Hundreds of his articles have appeared in computer, automobile, and business magazines. He first used computer-based messaging systems in 1970.

Technology professionals interested in receiving a weekly e-mail newsletter can subscribe to the newsletter at http://www.messagingpipeline.com/newsletter.jhtml.

Additionally, the new Pipeline websites will feature a comprehensive topic-focused Product Finder that organizes and filters Web-based content relevant to each technology topic. Divided into discrete product segments, CMP editorial experts shape the content with input from vendors and users.

The new sites will have original editorial content and will also leverage the knowledge and content of the extended CMP Media family of publications, including InformationWeek, CRN, Network Computing, InternetWeek, TechWeb, VARBusiness, and others.

Additional topically focused sites in the Pipeline series are planned for July 2004. Existing Pipeline websites can be found at http://www.techweb.com/pipelines/.
