Top Lotus Executive Leaves for Start-Up, According to Exclusive Report on Computer Reseller News Online (www.crn.com)

Larry Moore, senior vice president of Lotus Development Corp., is leaving the company to become chief executive of Bright Tiger, an Acton, Mass.-based start-up. CMP's Computer Reseller News Online site (http://www.crn.com/) posted an exclusive report on Moore's move at 2:45 p.m. today.

Bright Tiger is also the new home to some former Iris Associates developers, sources told Computer Reseller News. Westford, Mass.-based Iris is the Lotus subsidiary responsible for Notes.

"Moore's departure was announced internally at Lotus late last week," writes Barbara Darrow, Computer Reseller News Technology Editor. "Moore, credited with fashioning Lotus' deal with AT&T Corp. for AT&T Network Notes, and later with other telcos, left Lotus once before for an executive position with Philips. Moore also was responsible for bringing Notes to market in 1990. That product, initially sold directly by Lotus, was sold also through the channel later."

Moore could not be reached for comment.
