CMP Media Inc.'s, NetGuide Live, the first true guide to the Net (http://www.netguide.com/), has aligned with Hotmail Corp. (http://www.hotmail.com/), the leading, free web-based e-mail service, to offer NetGuide Live content to all 1.3 million Hotmail subscribers via Hotmail's new WebCourier Service.

"This is such a great partnership," said Beth Haggerty, Publishing Director, CMP's Internet Media Division, which comprises NetGuide Live and NetGuide Magazine. "Now, more than a million new users can have access to the premiere guide to the Net. Together, NetGuide Live and Hotmail can give Internet users everything they need to get the best of the Web and communicate electronically," she said.

Hotmail WebCourier gives new registrants the opportunity to receive NetGuide Live in their in-boxes daily via a checkbox. Additionally, Hotmail will offer current users the option to register for NetGuide Live.

"NetGuide Live will bring valuable information to the subscribers of our new WebCourier service," said Stephen Douty, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Hotmail. "With the Web growing and changing every second, Internet users more than ever before need someone to sift through it all and identify information and events that are timely, useful, and relevant."

CMP's NetGuide Live is designed to be a first point of access to get people exactly where they want to be on the Net -- quickly and easily. It features an hour-by-hour guide to what's on the Web and commercial online services, a comprehensive database of site profiles, leading-edge search and browse functions, daily updates about new sites, and breaking news through an alliance with CNN Interactive. Forrester Research singled out NetGuide Live in the Web directory field as a "crisper, more useful site."

Hotmail is the leading provider of globally accessible, free web-based electronic mail. Because Hotmail is hosted entirely on the Internet, e-mail is now available at any Web terminal. Hotmail is a password protected, feature-rich e-mail system that also offers advanced capabilities such as MIME file attachment, personal address books, folders, and embedded hyper-links. Because Hotmail is Web-based, users have the added ability to send, view and navigate entire Web pages within a Hotmail message. Hotmail is supported by advertising banners similar to those seen on other Web sites. Unlike other providers, Hotmail guarantees it will never send unsolicited junk e-mail to its subscribers. To sign up, simply set your Web browser to http://www.hotmail.com/

CMP Media., Inc., now in its 26th year of uninterrupted growth, is the only provider of publishing, marketing and information services to reach the entire spectrum of the high-technology market -- the builders, sellers and users of technology.
