The 2003 CM Circulation Excellence Awards -- the magazine publishing industry's leading strategic circulation awards -- honored InformationWeek with a gold award for most effective and innovative use of the Internet at a luncheon last week at the New York Hilton. The Circulation Excellence Awards are given annually to recognize outstanding achievements in magazine circulation marketing and management.

Based on Web site customer service, effective use of the Internet for subscription generation, and efficiency and quality in overall circulation practices, InformationWeek was recognized for the most effective and innovative use of the Internet in the B-to-B category. This marks the second year in a row that InformationWeek has won a gold award in this category. In 2002, InformationWeek also received an award for overall circulation excellence in the business publication category with circulations of 100,000 or larger.

"These awards clearly recognize InformationWeek's continual commitment to quality and innovation in audience development," said Michael Friedenberg, VP and publisher of InformationWeek. "Our substantial investment in circulation allows us not only to define, target and deliver powerful Business Technology buyers, but also provide our advertising partners with full, comprehensive demographics of our audience of 440,000 qualified IT buyers. Our customers know who and what they get when they do business with us."

Recently, InformationWeek was recognized by BtoB Magazine's Media Power 50 with a Top 10 ranking for the fourth consecutive year as "one of the best places to run advertising messages."
