Division of CMP Healthcare Media adds industry veterans

CMP Healthcare Media announces the addition of Beth Scholz, publisher, and Jennifer Bass, account manager, and the promotion of Kelly McNulty, national sales manager, to the Oncology Publishing Group, which produces Oncology and Oncology News International.

"This team will be a dynamic addition to our existing group and will serve the oncology market well."

In her new position, Scholz will apply her 15 years of medical publishing experience to the management of day-to-day operations, strategic planning, marketing and financial growth of Oncology and Oncology News International. Most recently, she served Haymarket Medical, publishers of the Prescribing References Inc publications. Her diverse sales and marketing background also includes experience with Hippocrates, a Time, Inc. and Massachusetts Medical Society title, and such Reed Elsevier publications as Physician Assistant, The Nurse Practitioner and Real Living Series, a newsletter full of practical advice for people coping with multiple sclerosis.

Bass brings more than 14 years of medical publishing, advertising and project sales experience to the Oncology Publishing Group. She will be responsible for the continuation and growth of current client relationships, as well as the development of new relationships and revenue growth. Most recently, she served as national account manager for Slack, Inc., a title that she also held at Lippincott Williams and Wilkins. Bass received her bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from George Washington University, Washington, D.C.

In her new position, McNulty will contribute more than 22 years of sales and management experience. She has been with Oncology/Oncology News International for more than two years as national accounts manager. McNulty is responsible for managing and expanding both titles and facilitating growth of current and newly acquired pharmaceutical client relationships. Most recently, McNulty was national accounts manager with PRR, a division of SCP Communications which was acquired by CMP Healthcare Media in 2003. In 1998, she worked for Bayer Pharmaceuticals as a representative. McNulty began her career in 1982 at Villeroy & Boch, where she worked her way up to national sales trainer. McNulty graduated with honors from the University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, Conn.
