CMP's CommunicationsWeek, The Networking Newspaper, will reveal the winners of its prestigious Visionary Awards during ComNet on Tuesday, February 4. The annual awards recognize the leadership of ten individuals in the telecommunications and technology industries. The presentation takes place at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington, D.C. -- one of the conference's three locations.

Beyond the Visionary Awards, CommunicationsWeek's editors will be leading a number of ComNet panels and tutorials during the four-day networking event: Senior Technology Editor Wayne Rash and Senior Technical Editor Oliver Rist will participate in a VLAN and Switching Tutorial on Feb. 3; Editor-at-Large Tim Wilson will join in on a ComNet session on the future of network systems management on Feb. 4; on February 5 Department Editor Terry Sweeny will lend his expertise to a session on ATM vs. IP Switching, Editor Elliot Kass appears at a Visions in Practice session the same day; and Paul Kapustka, Editor-at- Large, will weigh in on a debate on Microsoft NTAS vs. Novell NetWare 5.0. on Feb. 6.

CommunicationsWeek will also debut a multimedia newspaper -- CommunicationsWeek Live at ComNet! -- featuring breaking news, live audio and video feeds from the show floor. CommunicationsWeek Live at ComNet! can be seen on kiosks throughout the Washington, D.C. Convention Center as well as on CommunicationsWeek Interactive (http://www.commweek.com/).
