The highly anticipated TechNet Magazine Spring 2005 issue, produced jointly by Microsoft Corporation and CMP Media, hits newsstands today.

As part of the Microsoft mission to better serve the ever-expanding IT community, CMP Media and Microsoft launched the ground-breaking TechNet Magazine in the winter of 2005.

The TechNet Magazine Spring 2005 issue features in-depth editorial content, with over 35% more editorial coverage than other magazines dedicated to supporting Microsoft IT professionals. The topics covered address primary concerns that IT pros deal with in their jobs, including Active Directory, SQL Server, Exchange Server, security, Windows Services for UNIX, boosting IIS performance, clustering and RAID, and migrating to Windows Server 2003.

Joshua Trupin, Executive Editor of TechNet Magazine, said, "TechNet Magazine supports IT pros by creating an editorial environment where leading technology experts explore practical solutions, provide in-depth technical information, and tackle the challenges IT pros face every day. We are committed to make this magazine a 'must read' resource for IT pros using Microsoft products and technologies."

Grant Duers, Director of TechNet Magazine, said, "We are extremely excited about the spring issue. After receiving hundreds of letters, e-mails and positive comments from IT pros who read the premiere issue, we are confident that the spring issue will be just as well received."

The Spring 2005 issue will be distributed to the Microsoft TechNet community and qualified IT pros. In addition, the magazine will be available at key IT conferences and is on sale at newsstands. TechNet Magazine's full editorial content is also available online at www.technetmagazine.com.

Following the spring issue, Microsoft and CMP are planning to publish TechNet Magazine on a bimonthly schedule commencing in October 2005.
