CMP Media's Network Magazine was named Best Computer/Trade Publication by the Western Publications Association in its 2003 Maggie Award competition. The annual Maggie Awards recognize outstanding magazines published west of the Mississippi River. Winners were announced in a ceremony on April 11, 2003.

Chosen from over 1000 entries, Network Magazine was judged on its overall editorial quality. Criteria included its editorial package -- how well the editorial components work together to meet the magazine's objectives -- readability, research, cover, and editorial devices used to draw the reader into the content and engage them in the magazine.

"It is a honor to be chosen as the Best Computer/Trade Magazine," said Steve Steinke, Editor-In-Chief, "Winning the Maggie in this category twice in four years is great recognition that Network Magazine continues to provide its readership of Network IT professionals with the information they need to do their jobs better, in an engaging and interesting format."

The Maggie Awards, the Western Publications Association's most prestigious publishing event, honors editorial, design and promotion excellence in magazine, tabloid, newsletter and online publishing.

Network Magazine has been honored with numerous awards, including a Jesse H. Neal Award for its "Off the Wires" column, as well as two 2002 ASBPE Regional Awards. Network Magazine was also named Best Computer/Trade Publication in the 2000 Maggie Award competition.
