Network Computing's Enterprise Architecture Group announces the addition of several new editors, who, in traditional fashion, come from the IT industry - Curt Franklin, Keith Mackinen, Donald W. MacVittie and Tim Wilson. Keith Mackinen was a lead logistics engineer at Lockheed Martin, Donald W. MacVittie was a lead technology architect for a fortune 100 company, and Tim Wilson was a senior analyst at Enterprise Management Associates. The hiring of these former IT professionals continues to cement one of the major philosophical goals of the group -- create trusting and respectful peer-to-peer relationships with readers.

Curt Franklin joins us a Senior Technology Editor for Network Computing, responsible for our information security core area. Curt was previously the Managing Editor/Technology for InternetWeek.

Keith Mackinen joins the editorial team of Secure Enterprise, as Technology Editor. Mackinen has over 10 years' experience as a hardware/software/systems test engineer, most recently as lead logistics engineer at Lockheed Martin, with stints at GE, Paradyne, Spirent, GTE and IBM. He will be working in the Syracuse labs. Mackinen will be responsible for testing security technology, keeping abreast of the security market, and creating critical security content.

Donald W. MacVittie will also be joining the editorial staff of Network Computing as a Technology Editor, based in the Green Bay, Wisconsin Real World Lab. MacVittie was formerly a Contributing Editor for Network Computing and has been writing for the magazine since May of 1999. He was previously an IT Project Manager for a major Midwest utility, a Lead Technology Architect for a fortune 100 company, a systems engineer for an ISP, and worked in his preferred realm of software development.

Tim Wilson joins us as business technology editor, for Network Computing. Tim will be responsible for adding industry perspective, vendor analysis and cost/benefit/value insight to Network Computing's coverage of technology. Prior to joining Network Computing, Tim spent two years as a senior analyst at Enterprise Management Associates, a research and consulting firm specializing in network and systems management.

"Curt, Keith, Donald and Tim are highly respected within the industry, and it's a great honor to have them all on our team," said Rob Preston, Editorial Director, Network Computing's Enterprise Architecture Group. Preston continued by saying "We've always been committed to maintaining our 'For IT, by IT' mission by employing former IT professionals as editors and writers -- as they truly understand the needs and wants of our readers."
