CMP's CommunicationsWeek Promotes Nelson-Rowe to Associate Publisher-Marketing and Business Development

Calore Promoted to National Sales Manager, Krause to Western Regional Manager, Rock Returns as Eastern Regional Manager

CMP Media Inc.'s CommunicationsWeek has announced the promotion of Laurel Nelson-Rowe to Associate Publisher/Marketing and Business Development from Marketing Director.

In her new role, Nelson-Rowe will expand her work with the publication's management team and support the sales team in strategic account work. She will also continue to build the CommunicationsWeek multimedia product franchise, and forge new partnerships that expand the newsweekly's presence and market leadership -- such as the recently announced relationship with the Global Information Infrastructure Awards.

Nelson-Rowe will also continue to serve as Co-Chair of CMP's Networked Economy Conference and will be charged with adding new conference programming.

Nelson-Rowe rejoined CommunicationsWeek in 1995 from Covia Technologies Inc., where she had served as Marketing Vice President. She was a reporter on CommunicationsWeek's launch team in 1983, and held many different editorial posts at the publication before serving as Editor-in-Chief from 1989 to 1992.

Her promotion comes on the heels of two others at the newsweekly: Jeff Calore was promoted to National Sales Manager from Eastern Regional Manager; and Amy Krause was named Western Regional Sales Manager from District Sales Manager. In addition, the publication announced that former Internet World Publisher, Pam Rock, has returned to CommunicationsWeek as Eastern Regional Sales Manager.
