Citing 3Com's success in the networking business due to its strong relationships and innovation, along with its recent agreement to acquire U.S Robotics, CMP's VARBusiness has selected 3Com as a featured company in its annual Top 10 list. In a separate report within the issue, the VARBusiness Companies To Watch List features companies the publication identified as the channel industry's up-and-comers. Both reports are available in the March 15 issue of VARBusiness, or on the VARBusiness Web site at http://www.varbiz.com/.

The other companies named to the VARBusiness Top 10 Compaq Computer Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co., IBM Corp., Informix Software, Netscape Communications, Inc., Seagate Technology, Inc., and Sun Microsystems Inc. Named among the VARBusiness Companies to Watch are American Power Conversion Corp., Citrix Systems, Inc., Computer Associates International Inc., Corel Software, and Dialogic Corp.

"The VARBusiness editorial staff has evaluated each company in the Top 10 based on critical standards that matter most to VARs: strategic position, market strength, product quality and function, VAR friendliness, and the potential for value add-on. Value-added resellers (VARs) integrate technologies and products into solutions for their customers," VARBusiness Publisher Jeff Sundheim said. "Among the VARBusiness Companies to Watch, VARs will find up-and-coming businesses worth keeping an eye on. Overall, these two reports provide VARs with important information they can use to identify the companies that may best serve their needs."

VARBusiness, currently celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, has a circulation of 105,040. The publication provides expert insight and trend analysis of products and technologies that helps VARs, integrators, software developers and consultants, grow their businesses.
