CMP Media, a leading integrated media company providing essential information and marketing services to the entire technology spectrum, announced today plans to strengthen and broaden its leadership position in the computer security market. Secure Enterprise magazine, launched jointly by the Computer Security Institute (CSI) and Network Computing in November 2003, will increase to a monthly frequency starting January 2005, enhanced with new editorial sections focused on product testing, professional development and security strategies. Additionally, Secure Enterprise has become part of the world-renowned CSI, providing targeted integrated products that include the recent CSI/FBI road tour (Sept. 21-29), the upcoming CSI Conference (Nov. 8-10) and "Career Builder," a new editorial section that will adapt content from CSI courses, conference abstracts and research.

"To be able to provide the security market with educational training, professional development, industry events and the respected editorial voice of Secure Enterprise is tremendous," said Chris Keating, Publisher, Secure Enterprise and Director, CSI. "These offerings, coupled with TechWeb's Security Pipeline portal site http://www.techweb.com/tech/security and the Security ThreatWatch e-newsletter, now in its fourth [year, places us in a unique position where we can offer security professionals and vendors one umbrella of resources -- a value proposition that none of our competitors can provide."

Since its initial launch, Secure Enterprise has received overwhelming support from readers and advertisers, including a coveted Maggie Award (2004, Best Supplement, Trade) while attracting blue chip advertisers such as Computer Associates, Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft, Symantec and Verisign. Secure Enterprise has applied for membership with BPA Worldwide, and plans the release of its initial audit report in the first quarter of 2005.

In addition, the Secure Enterprise management team will be led by industry veteran Chris Keating, CMP VP, Director of CSI and Publisher of Secure Enterprise, who will report to Fritz Nelson, VP/Group Publisher, Network Computing Enterprise Architecture Group. Mike Fratto, named editor of Secure Enterprise in March, is a well-respected industry voice with seven years as senior executive technology editor of Network Computing. Rounding out the team is National Sales Director, Jennifer Rego, an industry veteran who previously worked on CMP Media EE Times.

The new editorial frequency, editorial sections, management team and continued integration with CSI furthers Secure Enterprise's status as a leading player of content, events, training and industry intelligence within the information security marketplace.
