InformationWeek, the leading IT media brand, was ranked number 9 in the 6th Annual Media Power 50 issue of BtoB magazine, Crain Communication Inc.'s publication for marketing strategists. This marked the fifth year that InformationWeek hit the top 10 ranking of the "top 50 b-to-b advertising venues."

The BtoB Media Power 50 looks at the top advertising venues as ranked by media buyers, industry analysts, and BtoB editors and reporters. Data such as ad revenue and audience were evaluated, and all participants were polled for their opinions on the most powerful and targeted b-to-b advertising venues. InformationWeek was the only IT magazine named in the Top 10 list.

"InformationWeek puts our b-to-b advertisers into a very strong editorial environment," said Mike Pilaso, associate media director at Universal McCann, New York, in BtoB Magazine. "But just as important, it delivers that elusive senior-level IT and corporate executive audience everyone in this sector wants."

"InformationWeek is focused on accelerating its relevancy as the leading voice in the business technology market, and delivering more value to both of our customers - business technology executives and technology providers," said Scott Vaughan, Publisher, InformationWeek. "Through the magazine, InformationWeek online destinations, our executive conferences, as well as our international reach, InformationWeek brings together more than one million IT decision makers each week."

This news follows a flood of innovation and activity from the brand:

-- In April, the 6th annual InformationWeek Spring Conference was held at
the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, FL, and drew over 350 Business
Technology Executives to discuss "The Borderless Enterprise: Global
Technology Customers and Standards." The Conference was host to
speakers from around the world, including CIOs from India, China,
Western Europe and the US. Sponsors included blue-chip technology
      vendors IBM, Intel and Hewlett-Packard.

-- InformationWeek recently launched "Inside InformationWeek," - a new
Web video delivery platform. Broadcast on informationweek.com and
techweb.com, the program takes a behind-the-story look at current
features from the magazine and features interviews with editors and
      other industry experts.

Each week, InformationWeek Magazine is read by 440,000 Business Technology decision-makers from the Fortune 1000 to emerging enterprises. In addition to the magazine's weekly news and editorial features, InformationWeek Research provides analysis of the business and technology views of IT executives and staffers in more than 50 timely research reports yearly.
