CMP Media's "EE Times," the industry newspaper for engineers and technical management, announced a decisive leadership position throughout the recently released Adams ElecTrac II Market & Media Report.

The Adams Study is the only independent syndicated research conducted across the audience of electronics professionals among original equipment manufacturers (EOEM) and the publications that serve their information needs. This research estimates a total of just over 633,000 individuals that make up the universe.

"EE Times," also a leader in past Adams studies in 1998 and 1996, took high honors in total readership, reaching 245,164 electronics professionals, or 38.7% of this market. "EE Times" significantly reaches more design and development engineers and engineering managers, the most sought-after and influential members of the electronics community.

"EE Times" Web Site, http://www.eet.com/, was the most visited publication Web site in the study: A total of 132,252, or (20.9%) individuals within the total Electronics universe visited the "EE Times" Web Site in the last month, making for a powerful print/online combination.

As in past studies, "EE Times" maintained its strong readership loyalty, with 62.7% of all its readers reading three out of four issues, 47.3% reading four out of four issues. It was also regarded as the most useful in meeting a reader's interest or information needs, ranking at the highest level with 25.8%, or more than 163,000 of the audience.
