CMP Technology's VARBusiness Magazine Hails Top Technology-Integrator Companies and Executives

CMP Technology's VARBusiness magazine lauded the top executives and companies among North America's technology integrators at its sixth annual VARBusiness 500 awards event, held June 13 in New York City. Seventeen individual awards were presented and the top 500 solution providers were acclaimed.

ProSys Information Systems, of Norcross, Ga., was named VARBusiness 500 Company of the Year for its focused specialization in building, integrating and supporting mission-critical business applications and systems. In recognizing ProSys, VARBusiness Associate Managing Editor Christina McEachern told the 500 attendees that the certified woman-owned business achieved outstanding growth by shifting from a volume sales model to value sales model. Key wins under this new strategy included a $70 million contract from SBC Communications for 24,000 Panasonic Toughbooks and similarly large deals with Wachovia and Hilton.

Harvey Najim, founder, president and CEO of Sirius Computing Solutions, in San Antonio, Texas, received the Lifetime Achievement Award, for consistently demonstrating superior business acumen and contributing to the betterment of the channel community.

Executive of the Year honors went to Jim Simpson, president and CEO, of MSI Systems Integrators in Omaha, Neb., for his drive, determination and vision that consistently guides MSI to double digit-growth, year over year.
