Alexander Wolfe, who has unparalleled expertise in the microprocessor and systems arenas, will bolster the magazine's already-strong, technology- reporting team and will develop big-picture technology coverage for VARBusiness readers. In his two decades as a technology editor, Wolfe has tracked the industry for Electronics magazine, Supercomputing Review, Computers in Physics and Mechanical Engineering. During a nine-year stint at CMP's Electronic Engineering Times he wrote the popular "Wolfe's Den" column and broke the acclaimed story of the Pentium floating-point division bug.

Cristina McEachern joins VARBusiness to cover the customer segment. She is charged with talking to CIOs and CTOs who work with solution providers to deploy technology initiatives, developing case studies and covering customer news. McEachern, who previously was a financial writer at JPMorgan Chase, began her career as senior editor of CMP's Wall Street & Technology magazine where she won American Society of Business Publication Editors national and regional Awards for Excellence in the news article category for her investigative reporting on Bloomberg's sales- and use-tax overcharges.

Marilyn O'Hara has been promoted to research director from associate director. Prior to joining the editorial research staff, she was a researcher on the Channel Group's sales and marketing staff and helped establish the unit's consulting business. Previously, O'Hara was a researcher at Ziff Davis Media.

"Our readers will benefit greatly from the expertise that Alex and Cristina bring in technology and business journalism," says VARBusiness Editorial Director Robert C. DeMarzo. "Under Marilyn's guidance, research continues to be the engine that powers this publication."
