CMP Media's InformationWeek announced today the promotion of Mike Friedenberg to Publisher from Associate Publisher.

As the Associate Publisher of InformationWeek this past year, Friedenberg has led the publication's record-breaking growth. According to CPAR(1), InformationWeek is leading the market in overall advertising pages with an impressive 1,848 pages as of April 2000. Friedenberg is also responsible for the dramatic growth and expansion of the brand's events business. InformationWeek's upcoming Fall Conference is already sold out with 30 sponsors committed, and the brand has announced that it will produce an ASP Forum in November of this year.

His past media experience includes a successful sales career at Cardinal Business Media, publisher of Internetwork Magazine, Midrange Systems, DEC Professional and ENT Magazine. Mike resides in Blue Bell, PA.
