CMP Media's InternetWeek and Network Computing and Key3Media Events announced today that nominations are being accepted for the Best of Show Awards Program, to be held in conjunction with NetWorld+Interop 2000 Atlanta, the definitive networking, Internet and telecommunications event. The 14th Best of Show Awards Program, sponsored by NetWorld+Interop, InternetWeek and Network Computing, honor the premier products and technologies exhibited at one of the largest events for networking, telecommunications, Internet, IT and service provider professionals, taking place at the Georgia World Congress Center September 24-29, 2000.

Editors from InternetWeek and Network Computing with expertise in specific category areas conduct the judging. Awards will be given in eleven separate categories: E-Commerce, Network Security & Performance, IP Video & Telephony Applications, Network Applications Software, Enterprise Network Infrastructure, Performance Test & Measurement, Carrier Network Infrastructure, Network Management, Network Servers & Peripherals, WAN & Remote Access Equipment, and WAN Services. In addition, there will be an overall Grand Prize Winner. The popular People's Choice Award, first introduced at NetWorld+Interop Las Vegas earlier this year, will take place again in Atlanta, providing conference attendees with the opportunity to cast votes onsite.

"The Best of Show Award is a way of recognizing the technical advancements in a variety of technology areas. The winners in each category represent the products that we believe are the most significant technical achievements in their categories," said Rob Preston, editor in chief of InternetWeek.

Nominations are due by September 5, 2000. Participation in the Best of Show Awards Program is limited to vendors that are primary exhibitors at the Atlanta event. For eligibility, products or services must be announced no earlier than August 21, 2000, with a product release no later than March 30, 2001.
