9TH Annual Financial Technology Expo Provides The Latest Technology Insight Solutions for the Financial Services Industry

The 9th Annual Financial Technology Expo (http://www.ftexpo.com/) offers 5000 + IT executives complete access to the industry's top decision makers and companies, and is the only event spanning the securities, banking and insurance markets. Financial Technology Expo 2000 (FTE) is to take place October 3rd-5th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

More than 250 of the world's leading technology companies will showcase financial technology solutions that demonstrate how to succeed in the converging financial marketplace. The expo will include live demonstrations, industry pavilions, daily keynote addresses, special events and the 2nd annual Tech -Connects program.

This year's keynote addressees will include Dr. James Martin, Chairman and Founder, WatchIt.com, Virginia Gambale, Managing Director and Group Head of Deutsche Bank Strategic Ventures and Frank Trotter III, President and CEO of everbank.com.

The TechConnects program is integrated with conference sessions to give attendees a complete experience with the most impacting technology solutions. Through TechConnects, participants take an exclusive, intimate guided tour through the show floor and are brought to the front steps of the vendors who aim to meet ASP, CRM or E-Billing/E-Payment technology needs.

The FTE 2000 Conference Program will consist of five concurrent tracks. The first three tracks -- Securtities, Insurance, and Banking -- are industry specific and cover the nuts and bolts on each of these topics. The Convergence Track covers "hot topics" including globalization, CRM and document management. The new Personal Day Track will cover subjects of personal interest to the employee, such as workforce issues, staff retention, and career prosperity.

This year's "Live" Trading Floor, co-sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, and Wall Street & Technology, is located on the exhibit floor and features electronic trading platforms that are open and being licensed to multiple B2B exchanges and Internet markets. Experts from this group will also participate in the 2nd Annual Industry Roundtable taking place Wednesday, October 4th at noon, to discuss B2B financial Net Markets/Exchanges. These industry experts and market visionaries, who are the key enablers Wall Street firms are investing in, will study the future of trading in an e-generation.

Exciting Pavilions will be featured on the show floor including Biometrics, Internet Banking, e-Commerce, Electronic Trading, Document Management, Insurance Technology and Portfolio Management. Networking events include an opening day IceBreaker reception and a Schmooze Fest at the close of the second day. The year 2001 will mark the 10-year Anniversary for the Financial Technology Expo. Following its tradition, the event will be held in New York City at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from October 23-25.
