CMP Media Names Sandra Grayson General Counsel; Katie Goldberg Named Associate General Counsel

CMP Media Inc. has named Sandra Grayson to the position of general counsel, replacing Brian Campbell, who is leaving CMP to assume the position of general counsel at EarthWeb. Katie Goldberg has been promoted to associate general counsel.

Grayson, who has been a corporate attorney at CMP for a decade, specializes in intellectual property, publishing, advertising and general corporate law. She has also been involved in legal aspects of CMP's Internet activities since the company's 1994 online debut. In her expanded role, Grayson will report to CMP President and CEO Gary Marshall.

Prior to joining CMP, Grayson was a corporate attorney for On-line Software Inc. She also spent five years as vice president and corporate attorney at J. Walter Thompson Co., served as a litigation associate at Pryor, Cashman, Shernan & Flynn, and was a staff attorney for the Federal Trade Commission.

She received her JD from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Tufts University.

Goldberg, who will report to Grayson, has been a corporate attorney at CMP for seven years. She specializes in employment law, real estate and general corporate law.

Before joining CMP, Goldberg's legal experience includes five years at Hudson General Corporation as counsel and corporate secretary; Bernstein & Obstfeld PC, where she served as a litigation and corporate associate, and Kreindler & Relkin, where she handled litigation and commercial arbitration.

Goldberg earned a JD from New York University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in rhetoric and communications from the State University of New York at Albany.
