CMP Media LLC announced the launch of the Canadian edition of its world leading publication exclusively dedicated to the reseller value channels, CRN (formerly Computer Reseller News). The bi-weekly Canadian edition will be complemented with a dedicated website (http://www.crncanada.ca/) both to be published by QMP Media Inc., a leading Canadian media company.

The debut issue of CRN Canada has a 36-page folio, and an initial circulation of 16,000 Canadian resellers and solutions providers. The magazine's mission is to break news on-line and in print that directly affects Canadian solutions providers, systems integrators, Web integrators, software developers/ISVs and systems builders.

Canada is the sixth largest IT market, worth US$53.6 billion, and is projected to grow 48 percent to US$79.4 billion by the year 2004, according to International Data Corporation. Canada is projected to have an average growth rate of 10.4 percent for 2001. In 2000, IT services accounted for the largest proportion (41.1 percent) of the total IT market in Canada.
