CMP Media Inc. (http://www.cmpnet.com/) a leading provider of high-tech news and information, today announced an alliance with Deja Business Solutions to deliver consumer-created product ratings and reviews to TechShopper.com, CMP's technology research, shopping, and support resource. Deja Business Solutions is the licensing arm of Deja.com, Inc., a leading provider of comparison shopping resources.

The alliance marries TechShopper's editorial expertise with Deja.com's comprehensive Deja Ratings database of consumer-generated product ratings and reviews, adding two essential information resources that will facilitate the purchase experience for TechShopper users. The Deja Ratings database is valuable because it provides the potential buyer with consumers' real-world product experiences. In addition to consumer insights, TechShopper.com offers expert opinions from CMP publications and Web sites, product reviews, and articles, as well as purchasing opportunities such as comparison shopping, negotiated pricing, group buying, and auctions.

Deja.com's Deja Ratings are compiled through a scaled voting system that captures and aggregates consumer opinions on products from desktop PCs to digital cameras. TechShopper users can access Deja Ratings from the "Learn About" and "Compare and Buy" sections within each of TechShopper's 15 product categories.

TechShopper is continually broadening its services to enhance the buying experience for its users. "Deja.com was one of the first sites out of the gate to gather consumer feedback on products and as a result they have one of the largest ratings and reviews database available," says TechShopper Editor-in-Chief Ronen Yaari. "By coupling Deja.com's broad and deep database with CMP's award-winning content, TechShopper now delivers a complete technology research and buying experience."

"We're thrilled to be working with industry veteran CMP to propel their popular TechShopper service to the next level," said Richard Gorelick, chief strategy officer of Deja.com. "By integrating our ratings and reviews, CMP's TechShopper will be able to offer its audience our powerful consumer-driven resources for making informed buying decisions on today's hottest technology products."
