CloudShield Technologies, CloudShield Packet Processor was named the Best of Show Grand Prize Winner yesterday at the Best of Show 2001 Atlanta Webcast held as an online ceremony, replacing the originally scheduled September 12, 2001 event.

Editors of CMP Media LLC's Network Computing and InternetWeek reviewed online submissions and evaluated new products at the show in September to determine finalists and winners in ten categories. Caw Network's Web Avalanche 3.0 was awarded the new Best Startup Product Award and was selected from the list of Best of Show finalists who also met the additional Best Startup Product criteria. Additionally, NetMotion Wireless Inc's NetMotion Mobility 3.0 was overwhelmingly selected to be the recipient of the People's Choice Award through online polling available exclusively to NetWorld+Interop attendees.

The Best of Show Awards program, sponsored by Network Computing, InternetWeek and NetWorld+Interop, honors premier products and technologies exhibited at the industry's leading event for networking, telecommunications, Internet, IT and service provider professionals. Network Computing and InternetWeek's editors with expertise in each of the ten specific category areas conducted the judging. By identifying innovative products debuted at NetWorld+Interop, the Best of Show Awards assist in the quest for technology-enabled solutions.

New this year at the Atlanta Best of Show Awards is the Best Startup Product category in which Caw Networks, Web Avalanche 3.0 was selected as the winner. This eligibility was based upon the vendor having existed as an independent company for two years or less. People's Choice Winner

In addition to the category winners, the popular People's Choice Award enabled attendees to cast votes online for the one single product they felt represented the Best of Show. NetMotion Wireless, Inc's NetMotion Mobility 3.0 was singled out by attendees -- top IT and corporate buyers -- to receive the People's Choice Award, having received 33% of the votes.
