Internet Telecom Expo Enjoys Successful Launch; First-Time CMP Event Draws More Than 10,000 Attendees

CMP Media Inc. today announced results from Internet Telecom Expo 2000, held from September 19 - 21 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. 10,855 registered exhibit hall attendees saw the latest product and services offerings from 160 high-tech exhibitors. More than 500 paid conference delegates attended the four Internet Telecom and eTV world conference programs. According to an on-site survey performed by Market Perspectives, 50% of attendees hold management positions in their organizations and 82% of the attendees plan to purchase IT products and services exhibited at the show. Internet Telecom Expo 2000 is the first event to address the convergence of voice, data and the Internet.

Hundreds of the industry's most innovative voice, data and Internet solutions were demonstrated on the show floor. These included Voice-over-IP (VoP), Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Application Service Providers (ASPs), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), IP Telephony Gateways, Web-Enabled Call Centers, Next Generation Networks, Communication Controllers, and Wireless. More than 60 new product and service announcements were made by exhibitors during this three-day event.
